He was predeceased by: his father Patricio Zavala. He is survived by: his wife Angelina Garcia; his children, Roberto Zavala (Gabriela Gonzalez), Jose A. Zavala (Maribel Cornejo), Norma Zavala (Miguel Bedolla), Jorge Zavala (Deisy Gonzalez) and Marco Zavala (Haley McFaddin); and his siblings, Virginia Almanza of Mexico, Alicia Zavala of Mexico, Angelica Zavala of Mexico and Rogelio Zavala. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
