He was predeceased by: his sons, Jayrob McRay, Damon Todd and Jeremy Scott Hamilton; and his niece Erica Manning. He is survived by: his wife Nina Ruth Hamilton; his daughter Shana Valere Hamilton-Lockwood (Jack Lockwood) of Sevierville; his grandchildren, Alyssa Hamilton of Sweetwater, Zander Lockwood and Jayley Lockwood of Sevierville; his mother-in-law Lucy Fox; his brother Wilma Jean; his sister-in-law Michael Manning; his nephew Dustin Manning of Sevierville; and his daughter-in-law Lee Ann Leatherwood of Sweetwater.
In lieu of flowers, the family will establish a college fund for Jayley, Zander and Alyssa (Ray's favorite people in the world).
