He is survived by: his wife Joan Pryor Simmons; and his children, Jackie Simmons, William "Bill" Ray Simmons, Barbara Ann Reed, Betty Jean Simmons of Texas, Debra Gail (Gary Larison) of Alabama and Tammy Yvonne (Darryl Williams) of Athens. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
