She was predeceased by: her husband Ernie Black Sr.; her parents, Rev. L. L. Davis and Laura Mae Davis; her son David Black; and her siblings, Rev. Ed Davis and Oletha Borden Houthoofd.
She is survived by: her children, Ernie Black Jr. (Susan), Ann Johnson (Phillip) and Regina Russell. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews.
