He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ellen Syler (Johnson); his daughters, Heidi Fry (Tim) of Yorba Linda, Heather Bledsoe (Alan) of Spartanburg, SC and Hayley Eaton (Evan) of Greer, SC; his stepchildren, Tamie Wilson (Chuck) of Carrollton, OH, Tony Burdette (Denise) of Canton, OH, Thomas Burdette of Massillon, OH and Timothy Burdette (Colleen) of Disputanta, VA; his brother Donald Syler (Cindy) of Louden, TN; and his sister-in-law Luella Syler. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
