With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxine Gowan Kirkland (Sweetwater, Tennessee), who passed away on May 4, 2018 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband John W. Gowan, Sr.; and her son Don Walker. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Bill Kirkland; her daughter Steven Tallent; her son-in-law Madisonville; her son John W. Gowan, Jr.; her grandchildren, Julie Tallent Lewis, Bryant Lewis, Brimingham, Jill Tallent McDonald, Wes McDonald, Athens, Joe Tallent and Madisonville; her great grandchildren, Reed McDonald, Madelyn McDonald, Aunt, Billie Jean Land, Athens and Numerous; and also San Diego.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sweetwater Public Library, 210 Mayes Ave., Sweetwater, TN 37874.
