He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Karen Verderese of Sweetwater; his stepchildren, Bonnie Challenger of Flint, Michigan, Jerilyn Denney (Jason) of Loudon, TN and Dale Dosh (Amy) of Otisville, MI; his siblings, Ellen Samaniego and Larry Verderese; and his grandchildren, Tiffani Chapman (Eric), Eleanor, Barry William Burbank, Zaniel, Halena, Lynn Cox (Shane), Emry, Aliyah, Harper, Brayden, Spencer Dosh, Emily Dosh, Steven Osmond (Katie), Krista Osmond, Zayden, Xavyer and Onnaleigh.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or First Baptist Church of Sweetwater.
