He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Sue Upton Mack and Clifford Hardy; his stepfather George Arnold Mack; his brothers, Ralph Upton and Clifford Hardy, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Willie Banks.
He is survived by: his children, Lakeyta Hardy, Natasha Hardy, Larry Hardy and Eli Hardy; his stepson Joseph Rice; his grandchildren, Faith Walker, Rayne Moore, Zion Lewis and Jakiya Rice; and his siblings, John Upton (Saundra), Dorothy Upton, Ella Banks, Dewitt Upton (Connie), Joe Hardy (Sandra), Emma Ellison and Madeline Thornton (Willie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
