She was predeceased by: her husband Warren Harding Newman; her parents, William Theodore Shope and Maude Williams Shope; and her siblings, Bobby Shope, Billy Shope Jr., Jenness Workman and Charlotte Stephens.
She is survived by: her siblings, Betty Mayfield of Sweetwater, Barbara Heuer of Sweetwater, Dennis Shope of Sweetwater, Keith Shope Sr. of Sweetwater and Gail Huffstetler of Dahlonega, Georgia.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
