She is survived by: her daughters, Margaret Ellison, Valeria Ellison, Annette McCroskey Wilson (Shawn) and Audra McCroskey Stevens; her stepdaughter Renee McCowan; her sons, John Fredrick Ellison and Van Eric Ellison; her stepsons, Brently McCowan, Isaac McCowan (Asha) and Gene Bradley; her sister Ruth Jenkins (James); and her siblings-in-law, Zella Smith, Loretta Ferguson, Peggy Foster and James McCowan (Pamela).
