He was predeceased by: his parents, John Reed and Minnie Ruth Reed; his father-in-law Harry Byrd; and his siblings, Joe Allen, James, Johnny and Deborah.
He is survived by: his children, Dustin Reed, Jonathan Reed, Chris Gibson, Heather Gibson Jaramillo and Katie Reed Sampson; his children-in-law, Hector Jaramillo, Alex Sampson and Serena Smith Gibson; his grandchildren, Owen Reed, Dillon Reed and Harrison Jaramillo; and his siblings, Dorotha, Charlie, Don, Ralph and Jackie. He is also survived by his children, and a grandfather.
