He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sheppard and Dean Sheppard of Loudon; his brother Ronald Sheppard; his niece Kisty Padgett; and his mother-in-law Virginia Ruppe.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Sheppard (Tiny); his children, Brooke Sheppard Waldrop (Butch), Rodney Sheppard, Shelli Hord (Chris) and Justin Nichols (Toni); his grandchildren, Chaslyn Waldrop, Mason Waldrop and Jordan Sheppard Alsup; his sisters, Eyvonne Padgett and Patricia "Trish" Sheppard Miller (Robin); his sister-in-law Marcia Sheppard; his grandchildren, Abeline Nichols, Annalise, Daesha, Tatyana and Angel Hord; his father-in-law Billy Ruppe; and his caregiver Olena. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
