With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Monroe Sapp in Sweetwater, Tennessee, born in Johnson City, Tennessee, who passed away on February 16, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Sapp and Emory Sapp; his wife Ellen Deborah Leonard; his sons, Dr. Gene Sapp and Timothy Sapp; and his brother Clarence Sapp.
He is survived by: his children, Renee Saur (Jeff Carr) and David Sapp (Krista); his daughter-in-law Maria Sapp; his sister Louise Hathaway (Richard); his grandchildren, Erin Sapp, Jared Sapp (Jessica), Kirsten Saur (Amir Safi), Victoria Saur, Emily Saur, Brandon Sapp, Mikaila Sapp, Rachel Sapp (Guy Burstein) and Lauren Wilson (Peyton); and his close friend Bettie Strothers. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
