He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Smith Bass of Surgoinsville; his children, William "Robert" Bass Jr. of Surgoinsville and Allison Bass Russell (Chuck) of Kingsport; his stepchildren, William "Bucky" Smith (Charmin) and Sara Cheek; his grandchildren, Amanda Dian Russell (Chad), Amber Hatley (Curtis), Christopher Frazier Jr., William "Brandon" Bass, Rocky McAninch Jr., Haley Bass and Jonathan Russell; his stepgrandchildren, Joshua Russell, Amanda Kay Russell, Austin Smith, Sydney Smith, Kaitlyn Cheek and Brayden Cheek; and his great grandchildren, Gabriel Marshall, Eliza Sarah Frazier, Roswyn McConnell, Courtney Hatley, Caden Hatley, Cailsey Hatley and Tristan Bass. He is also survived by extended family and many lifelong friends.
