He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lawson and Betty Lawson; his niece Melanie Shaw Griffith; and his father-in-law Jim Noe. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Lawson; his daughter Jaime Lawson (Austin Hensley); his sisters, Brenda Williams, Linda Winegar (Harold) and Diana Blankenship (David); his parents-in-law, Sue Noe and Don Price (Phyllis); his siblings-in-law, Ralph Armstrong, Lowell Shaw and Donna Bell (Robert); and his nieces and nephews, Jill Armstrong (Dawn), Sonya Dykes, Alison Winegar, Lacey Green (Christian), Riley Collis, Brian Shaw (Lagonda), Landon Shaw, Brendan Griffith, Dillon Dykes, Christian Thornton (Kelsey), Dakota Dykes, Tyler Thornton, Jordan Winegar Collis and Devan Dykes.
