He is survived by: his wife Linda Thurman; his children, Bryan Thurman (Dawn) of Rogersville, Lisa Marshall of Kingsport, Justin Thurman and Makala Thurman of Rogersville; his grandchildren, Daniel Thurman (Lucky), Hannah Thurman, Corey Courtney, Katie Courtney and Malakai Shanks; his great grandchildren, Carter Thurman, Justin Thurman and Reed Thurman; and his sisters, Betty Simpson (Wayne) and Mary Fowler (Charlie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
