With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Johnson (Surgoinsville, Tennessee), who passed away on April 14, 2020 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Fern Roberts Johnson; his son Sheay Johnson; and his parents, Dee Johnson and Cleo Harkleroad Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sexton Johnson; his sisters, Jean Johnson Price (William) of Surgoinsville and Ann Johnson Reuschel of Rogersville; his nieces, Linda Price Henard (Brian) of Rogersville, Carla Price Morrison (Jeff) of Killen, AL and Beth Reuschel of Greenville, SC; and his nephew John Reuschel (Jill) of Russellville.
Due to the COVID-19 concern, the family will have a private graveside service Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tecky Hicks officiating.
