He was predeceased by: his parents, H. M. Bennett and Louetta Bennett; his siblings, Johnny "Jack" Bennett, Ralph Bennett, Elmer "Shorty" Bennett, Fred Bennett, Grace Wade, Ruby Greer, Jean Dishner and Mabel Henard; and his granddaughter Jessica Manis.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bennett; his daughters, Lisa Carver (Jeff) and Rebecca Fletcher; his grandchildren, Patricia Greenwell (Brandon), Crystal Carver, Bryan Carver, Makayla Luckett (Michael) and Mitchell Carver (Beth); his great grandchildren, Braelynn Bradley, Ella Hall, Lucas Greenwell, Conner Greenwell, Emma Robinson, Gavin Buchanan, Haylee Carver, Trevor Sandidge, Taylor Carver, Leah Carver and Hayden Manis; and his sisters, Helen Dishner, Pearl Horton, Faye Winstead and Shirley Horton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
