He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Brewer and Ella Brewer; his brother Dwayne Brewer; and his son Richard "Dickie" Brewer. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Brewer; his children, Annie Gamble (Mark), Gilbert Brewer (Nona) and Eric Brewer (Stacy); and his grandchildren, Christopher Brewer (Sarah), McKenzie Brewer (Michael Ponder), Bronson Brewer (Savannah), Sydney Brewer Alcorn (Bryce) and Brody Brewer.
