He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward and Winnie Geneva Hood Washburn; and his former wife Marie Washburn. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Washburn of Summertown, TN; his sons, Sam Washburn, Jr. (Tina) of Summertown, TN and Anthony Washburn (Dawn) of Summertown, TN; his stepdaughter Bobbie Jo Stafford of Huntsville, AL; and his grandchildren, Rachel Washburn, Embrance Jordan, Michael Stafford and Bryant Stafford.
Family suggests memorials be made to the Henryville United Methodist Church Youth Fund.
