He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete McCrory and Bonnie Dunn McCrory; and his sister Lynn McCrory Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Trousdale McCrory of Summertown, TN; his son Phillip McCrory (Regina) of Summertown, TN; his grandchildren, Trent McCrory (Megan) of Summertown, TN, Tyler McCrory (Adriana) of Westpoint, TN and Megan McCrory Griggs (Matt) of Westpoint, TN; his stepgrandchildren, Sheena Campbell (A. J.) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Dustin Scott (Britlyne) of Summertown, TN and Heather Dingler (Daniel) of Loretto, TN; and his half-brother Bill Dunn of Summertown, TN.. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to Summertown High School Football Program.
