He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert James Gidcomb and Evie Ann Gibson Gidcomb; his wife Mary Jean Gidcomb; his children, Jeff Clay Gidcomb and Kathie Kay Toone; and his sister Aileen Lovett.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Gidcomb of South Port, TN, James David Gidcomb (Rita) of Columbia, TN, Bonnie Louise Moore of Savannah, TN and Freddie Lee Gidcomb (Doris) of Lawrence County, TN. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
