He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Curtis and Vera Bell Curtis; and his daughters, Rhonda Curtis and Tammy Curtis. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Abbott Curtis of Summertown; his son Nolan Curtis (Lisa); his siblings, Sue Curtis of McEwen, Terry Curtis of Dickson and David Curtis; and his grandchildren, Kira Curtis of Summertown and Hayden Curtis.

Family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
