It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Ronald Shelton of Sugar Tree, Tennessee, born in Madison, Tennessee, who passed away on December 18, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Benjamin Shelton and Georgia Mae Glover Shelton; and his brother Ben Shelton. He is survived by: his wife Madelyn; his daughters, Lisa Shelton Sanders (Jeff) of Milan, TN, Beth Shelton Gant of Lexington, TN and Jodi Shelton Caperton of Lexington, TN; his grandchildren, Dru Sanders (Candace), Shelton Sanders (Liz), Pace Ward, Jessie Caperton Milner (Richard) and Davis Caperton (Lauren); and his great grandchildren, Madelyn Mae Sanders, Adaleigh Avery Sanders and Dallas Milner.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be directed to the Oakfield Cemetery Association, c/o James Fullerton, 3627 Old Medina Rd, Oakfield, TN 38362.
