He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hicks and Ethel Hicks; his children, Diane Hicks and William Hicks Jr.; his granddaughter Heather Wilson; and his brother Harley Hicks.

He is survived by: his wife Wilma Hicks (Fisher); his children, Randy Wilson (Claudia), Daniel Hicks and Kimberly Hicks; his grandchildren, Olivia, Shaun and Casey; and his sister Louise Hicks. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
