She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hammonds and Margaret Hammonds; her son John Aaron Shipley; and her siblings, Eddie Joy Hammonds and Myrtle Covington.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wendy Shipley of Colorado and Elizabeth Shipley of Knoxville; and her siblings, Margaret Caughorn of Knoxville, Donald Ray Hammonds of Knoxville, Robert George Hammonds of Strawberry Plains and Freddie Lee Hammonds of Knoxville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
