She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wesley Wright and Zella Trentham Wright; and her siblings, Dewy Wright, Hettie Ward and Dorothy Tinker.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald Merritt; her son Randall Merritt; her sister Lois Massey (Gordon); her close friend Todd Hancock; and also Rhonda Duncan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
