He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Willard, Rosa Lee Howard, Bill and Artie McSwain; his father-in-law Joe Eugene Tarwater; and his sister-in-law Penny Ellen Tarwater.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Tarwater McSwain; his children, Jeffrey McSwain, Jr. (April), Laura Vick (Michael) and Lyndsey Rodarte (Esteban); his grandchildren, Lillian, Roman, Levi, Wyatt Rodarte, Ava, Taylor and Gunner McSwain; his parents, Bill McSwain and Alice "Peggy" McSwain; his siblings, John McSwain (Christina), Donna Fowler and Karen Garrison; his parents-in-law, Jim and Kay Tarwater; his sister-in-law Dina Hobby (Greg); his cousin Timmy Bailey; and his pet Pebbles. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
