He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nichols and Maggie Nichols; and his siblings, Pauline Pollard, Charles Nichols, Neva Kate Haggard, Anna Maude Griffin Cline, Jimmy Nichols and Martha Nichols.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen Nichols; his sons, Joe William Nichols (Katue), John Nichols (Glenda) and Terry Nichols (Jean); his grandchildren, Richard Nichols (Kim), Robert William Nichols (Haven), Jason Nichols (Katherine) and Stephanie Polich (Garrett); and his great grandchildren, Meris, William and Katherine Nichols.
