With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Scott Shackelford of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, who passed away on July 27, 2021 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Maxine Shackelford. He is survived by: his father Samuel Shackelford (Karen); his sister Cynthia Smelcer (Robin); his friend Randy Suthers; and his pets, Harley, Missy and Walker. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East TN Kidney Foundation or the National Kidney Foundation.
