He was predeceased by: his parents, Carbon Ward and Sarah Ward; his sisters, Linda Hall and Helen Ryan; and his grandson Josh Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Nell; his children, Dale, Chip Ward and Carla Tipton (Keith); his stepson Roy Taylor (Jennifer); and his sister Virginia "Sis" Ward. He is also survived by four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
