Barbara Jean Paxton Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Barbara Jean Paxton of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, whose life came to an end on March 4, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her son Timothy Peoples (Timmy); her parents, Victor Stump and Eunice Stump; and her siblings, Louise Stump, Bobby Stump, Charles and Billy Stump.

She is survived by: her husband David Lynn Paxton; her children, Jamie Hensley (Greg) and Paul Peoples (Donna); her stepdaughter Jennifer Paxton (Rick Stephenson); her granddaughters, Megan Peoples and McKenzie Stephenson; her brother P. D. Stump (Claudia); and her caregiver Mariah. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hamblen Memory Gardens (5421 E Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN 37814).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Morristown Crewettes.
