He was predeceased by: his brothers, Johnnie Griggs Jr., Audis Griggs and Ted Griggs. He is survived by: his parents, Johnny Griggs and America Whidby Griggs; his daughters, Bridgett Griggs of Columbia, TN and Connie Holcomb; and his sisters, Lucille Truette (Raymond), Kinez Yanone (Alfred) and Gale Hay (Nolan). He is also survived by four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
