He is survived by: his wife Sandra Taylor Fowlkes of Springville, Tennessee; his son Richard Michael Fowlkes, II (Valerie) of Trimble, Tennessee; his siblings, David Fowlkes (Judy) of RoEllen, Danny Fowlkes of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Ann Wilhoite (Steve); his grandchildren, Lane Fowlkes, Chloe Atkins, Amber Conley, Jayce Fountain and Grayson "Mikie" Fountain; and his great grandchildren, Elijah, Kinsley, Aspen and May. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson-Williams Funeral Home (239 E Main St, Newbern, TN 38059). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home (239 E Main St, Newbern, TN 38059).
