It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammie Morris (Springfield, Tennessee), who passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Lee and Ester Eden Reid; the father of her children Alford Hawkins Morris; her daughters, Beverly Jane Morris and Tammy Annette Morris; her children-in-law, Paul Roark and Tonya Morris; and her siblings, Thomas Reid, Joyce Qualls, Bobbie Keith, Beverly Pulley and Dorothy Porter.
She is survived by: her children, Melinda Roark, Timothy "Bubba" Morris, Susan (Delvin Hester) and Dennis (Jill Morris); and her grandchildren, Jacqulyn Swisher and Casey Morris. She is also survived by loving grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home (509 N Walnut St, Springfield, TN 37172). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
