It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Eugene Speer of Springfield, Tennessee, born in Kress, Texas, who passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Verden Elmo Speer and Melissa Ellen Runnels Speer; his siblings, Donald Ray Speer and Rosanel Speer Payne; and his son-in-law Peter Dunbar Salter.
He is survived by: his wife Jody Speer; and his children, David Lynn Speer (Fay Hallmark), Daniel Glen Speer (Linda) and Cynthia Diane Salter. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
