It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Hester (Springfield, Tennessee), born in Stewart, Tennessee, who passed away on August 22, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe and Mollie Glisson Hester. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Smith Hester; his children, Leah Hornbuckle (Chris) of Springfield, Tony Lance of Springfield, Brian Lance (Wanda Kay) of Springfield and Phillip Lance of Lewisburg; his siblings, Jimmy Hester (Kay) of Bartlett, TN, Cornelia Laney of Pleasant View and Joyce Walker (Eddie Ray) of Pleasant View; his grandchildren, Edwin Lance (Kristal), Savanna Pitt (Travis), Wade Lance, Dalton Lance, Heath Hornbuckle and Levi Hornbuckle; and his great grandchildren, Graci Lance, Ethan Lance, Jace Lance and Paisley Lance.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Coopertown Church of Christ.
