He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Petty and Garnet Dysinger Petty; and his brothers, Russell Petty and Roy Petty. He is survived by: his wife Carol Tolbert Petty; his daughters, Kimberly D. Petty of Nashville, Connie M. Lockert of Ashland City and Angela R. Petty (Michael) of Nashville; his sisters, Peggy Greer (Joe) of Smyrna and Ona Herndon of Loudon, TN; and his grandson Ryan Lockert (Krystal).
