She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Carey and Justine Brown Carey; her former husband Dr. John R. Fairless; and her brother Bill Carey. She is survived by: her husband Larry Simmons of Springfield, TN; her children, Dr. John Fairless (Sheila) of Gainesville, FL, Cary Fairless (Lori) of Germantown, TN and Cindy DiAngelo (Al); and her brother George Carey (Nita) of Kingman, AZ. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
