It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Wilkerson Fort Meggs of Springfield, Tennessee, born in Clarksville, Tennessee, who passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Taylor and Lucy Lillian Crouch Fort; her grandparents, Jack, Margaret Frances Wilkerson Crouch, Sterling and Sallie Jones Fort; her spouse Emerson Alford Meggs of Adams; and her children, Margaret Lee (Mark Seiffert), Emerson Fort and John Alford (Linda Odom). She was also cherished by four grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
