He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Chloe Fyke Simmons; his wife Lillian Keith Simmons; and his siblings, Robert L. Simmons, Jr., Matthew Simmons, Billy Simmons, Graydon Simmons, Chloe Nell Simmons, Clara Mae Simmons, Nola Simmons, Anna Carney and Sallye Mae Paquette.
He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Simmons of Springfield, Stanley Simmons (Charlotte) of Orlinda and Barbara Simmons of Portland; and his grandchildren, Jerry Wayne Simmons, David Ryan Simmons (Cari), Brandon Joseph Simmons, Timothy Ray Simmons, Robert Lee Simmons (Sara), Kelsey McGee Eatherly (Brian), Thomas Carl Swann and Amber Armstrong. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
