She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Lee and Ester Eden Reid; her former husband Neely E. Kirkland; her husband James Qualls; her close friend Lawrence Riggins; her siblings, Thomas Reid, Bobbie Keith, Beverly Pulley and Dorothy Porter; and her grandson Gabriel Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Kirkland (Donna Butler) of Fairhope, AL and Ann; her son-in-law Steve Cherry of Springfield; her sister Sammie Morris of Springfield; and her grandchildren, Fred Wix (Jo), Meranda Lambert (Tony), Kelli Douglas (Brandon), Kimberly Goodwin (Clifton) and Shawn Jones (Craig). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; many friends, family members; and her church family.
