He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Stokes and Billy Whittle; his son Jeremy Whittle; and his siblings, Charles Whittle, Shirley Thomas and Diana Whittle.
He is survived by: his significant other Darlene Whittle; his children, Joseph Whittle (Cassie), Joseph Holt, Tonya Peterson (Kevin) and Lesly Ivey (Terry); his siblings, Billy Joe Whittle (Linda), Patricia Meeks and Vickie Dixon (Neil); his stepfather Wayne Stokes; and his stepbrother Phillip Stokes (Tiffany). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
