She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Lee Vernon and Alice Irene Hooker Vernon; her husband Charlie McQuiston Sr.; her sons, Johnny McQuiston and Oscar Lee Briggs Jr.; and her sister Judy Vernon.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Bernhardt (Adrian), Joseph McQuiston (Samantha), Walter McQuiston, Larry Armstrong (Dawn), Michael Armstrong (Marie) and Terry McQuiston (Lindsay). She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
