He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Roy, Beatrice Austin, Thomas D. Brassell Sr. and Elizabeth Brassell; his uncle Don Brassell; his aunt Betty Gregory; and his friend Bill Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Brittany Boone, Eric T. Brassell Jr., Jason Benefield, Timothy Benefield and Teresa Benefield; his parents, Patsy White (Bobby Lee) and Thomas D. Brassell Jr.; and his sisters, Tracie Fuqua and Deenna Holland. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 8 nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
