He was predeceased by: his father Clyde Clinard; his wife Darlene Clinard; his daughter Alicia; and his siblings, Clifford Clinard, Peggy Murphy, Gertrude "Trudy" Jones and Kay Clinard.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie Johnson (Tony) and Brandon Clinard (Dana); his grandchildren, Ashlyn (Brandon), Austin, Jessica and Nick; his great grandchild Brooklyn; and his siblings, Jewell Clinard and Betty Vlillines (Jimmy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
