Ed Reed Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ed Reed (Springfield, Tennessee), born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on November 16, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edward "Ike" and Lota Roberta McDougal Reed; his son Roy Reed; and his sisters, Mary "Sis" Stamps and Dean Estep.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Theresa Gardner Reed; his children, Dwight Reed (Delia) of Barren Plains and Sondra Reed Matthews of Barren Plains; and his siblings, Roy Reed (Jeannie) of Bloomington, IN, Mae Morgan of Indian Head, MD and Joyce Wilson (Bobby) of Russellville. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Run Cemetery Fund.
