He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles G Penny, Jr. and Ava Ganell Weaver Erwin; his stepfather Hugh Maitland Erwin; and his brother Roy Wayne Penny. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hutt Penny of Pleasant View, TN; his siblings, Mike Erwin (Ann) of Memphis, Tom Penny (Tina) and Susan Shaheen; his children, Lesa Penny Blackwell (Tim) of Nashville, TN and Charles G Penny, IV (Erin) of Pleasant View, TN.; and his grandchildren, Scott, Ross, Bennett Blackwell, C. G., Elliott and Eleanor Penny. He is also survived by his in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
