He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Ray Newell and Zella Smith Newell; his brother Sidney Charles Newell; and his grandparents, William Joseph Smith, Sr. and Millie Smith of Meridian, MS..
He is survived by: his wife Emily Ann Ferguson Newell; his children, Lisa Ann Newell Hanberry (Tim) and William Joseph Newell, Jr. (Tanish); and his grandchildren, Drew Hanberry, Abby, Laura and Elise Newell.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home & Cremation Services (5239 Main St, Spring Hill, TN 37174). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
