She was predeceased by: her son Joseph Goins; and her father Milburn Hogue, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Chasity Claxton (Maurice Smith) and Thomas Claxton; her mother Rachel Talbert Hogue; her grandchildren, Caleb Thackston, Isabella Jeffreys and Niya Smith; her stepgrandchild Rashawn White; and her siblings, Milburn Hogue, Jr. (Melanie), Louis Hogue (Nora), Tommy Hogue and Elaine Cox. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
